Wanted murder suspect from New York arrested in Manchester

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said a suspect wanted for murder in New York City was arrested in Manchester on Wednesday. Jeremy Amadiz was taken into custody by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Manchester Police Department SWAT team. Amadiz is being held on a fugitive from justice charge and is expected to face additional charges, according to the sheriff’s office. After obtaining a search warrant, authorities searched an address on Cedar Street where Amadiz was located. A loaded firearm and drugs were also seized. Two other people were arrested as part of the Amadiz investigation. Kelly Johns was taken into custody on charges of robbery and first-degree assault. Benny Amadiz was arrested for failure to appear in court on underlying charges of possession of a controlled substance and bail jumping. It is unknown when Jeremy Amadiz will be extradited to New York.

Kelly Johns was taken into custody for robbery and aggravated assault. Benny Amadiz was arrested for failure to appear in court on the underlying charges of possession of a controlled substance and breach of bail conditions.

It is not known when Jeremy Amadiz will be extradited to New York.
