Sexual assault in Cooloongup: Teenager, 14, sexually assaulted by man on Elanora Drive oval

Police are investigating a shocking sexual attack on a young girl south of Perth.

Child Abuse Squad investigators say the incident occurred in Cooloongup at around 10.45pm on Saturday evening.

According to police, a 14-year-old girl was walking through an oval on Elanora Drive when she was approached and sexually assaulted by a man.

The girl alerted a friend and the police were soon notified.

The man is described as having an olive/tan complexion and wearing a green sweater and dark shorts.
