A grandmother who was stabbed to death in north London because she was “devoted to her family” has been remembered.

Anita Mukhey, 66, a part-time NHS medical secretary, was attacked in Edgware at around 11.50am on Thursday.

Emergency services attended Burnt Oak Broadway and treated Ms Mukhey for knife wounds, but she died at the scene.

In a statement released by the Met Police on Sunday, her family said she was a “married mother and grandmother, devoted to her family”.

They added: “The family requests privacy at this difficult time.”
