Three were arrested in connection with the Fair Oaks shooting

(FOX40.COM) – Three people were recently arrested in connection with the shooting of a man in the driveway of his home in Fair Oaks Township last Friday, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said 41-year-old Vitaliy Zaystev was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in his car at his home on Hillridge Way in Fair Oaks around 11 p.m. on May 3.

“Due to the criminal investigation, officers learned that Zaytsev was sitting in his vehicle, which was parked on the driveway of his home,” officials said. “The suspects arrived at the victim’s residence in a separate vehicle shortly after Zaytsev’s arrival. So one of the suspects
exited their vehicle and fired three shots, striking the victim.”

Sacramento County detectives said they were able to identify two suspects believed to have planned and carried out the murder and located them in Idaho with the help of the Boise FBI and two other agencies in Idaho make.

Two men, identified as Michael Espinosa and Migues Esquibel, were arrested May 6 in Idaho for probation violations and will be extradited to Sacramento County, the sheriff’s office said.

A third suspect, who investigators said was believed to have been in a relationship with the victim, was identified as Jeannette Nunes. According to the sheriff’s office, she was arrested Thursday in San Jose before being booked into the Sacramento County Jail on murder and conspiracy charges and is ineligible for bail.

The sheriff’s office added that Nunes will appear in court on the charges on Monday.
