In a new case, Prajwal Revanna has been accused of repeatedly raping a former maid in her 60s

The new rape case against Prajwal was registered at the cyber crime police station in Bengaluru based on the woman’s statement.

Well-informed sources said that the woman, said to be in her 60s, was seen in the video pleading before being sexually assaulted. The video is reportedly part of the Hassan Stick saga in which images of alleged sexual assault and harassment by Prajwal were leaked days before the Lok Sabha polls.

Prajwal has been booked under IPC sections 376(2)(n) (commits repeated rape on the same woman), 376(2)(k) (being in a position of control or dominance over a woman, commits rape on that woman). , 354A (sexual harassment), 354B (assault or use of criminal force on a woman with intent to undress), 354C (voyeurism) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).

DH reviewed the case details of the 42nd Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Court.

The rape allegations alone are too fine with a “strict prison sentence of at least ten years, which can extend to life imprisonment”.

Earlier, Prajwal was accused of repeated rape by a former Hassan Zilla Panchayat member in a case registered by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on May 1. He is also accused number 2 in a sexual harassment case registered at Holenarasipur town police station in Hassan on April 28, where his father Revanna was named as accused 1.

Separately, KR Nagar police registered a case of kidnapping and illegal detention on May 2 after the survivor’s 20-year-old son lodged a complaint. The complainant had alleged that Satish Babanna, who later turned out to be Revanna’s aide, visited her house on April 29 and took the survivor along allegedly at the behest of the MLA.

On May 3, police arrested Babanna. A court later sent him into custody.

Revanna, the accused 1 in the case, is currently in custody till May 14. His bail application will be heard on Monday while Babanna will be questioned by the SIT.

Meanwhile, Prajwal, who flew to Germany soon after the Phase II Lok Sabha polls in the state on April 26, remains at large despite Interpol issuing a Blue Corner Notice through the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the request of the SIT published).
