German airline Lufthansa announced on Sunday that it would suspend its flights to Amman, Beirut, Erbil and Tel Aviv until at least Monday due to recent unrest in the Middle East.

The group, which includes the German airline, Swiss and Austrian airlines, will also ensure that its flights avoid the airspace over Israel, Jordan and Iraq for the foreseeable future, it said in a statement to Reuters.

The company had already announced on Friday that it would suspend flights to and from Tehran until April 18 and would not use Iranian airspace during this time.
