MP Horror: Teenager rapes and strangles 9-year-old sister after watching porn. Mother and siblings help cover up

Bhopal: Police investigating the rape and murder of a girl that took place in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, on April 24 have found that her 13-year-old brother sexually assaulted her after watching a porn video on his mobile phone and later killed her. When the boy’s mother and his two elder sisters came to know about the incident, they helped cover up the crime, an official said.

After the case was solved, police arrested the teenage brother, his mother and their 17- and 18-year-old sisters. The suspects in the case were arrested after questioning 50 people, intensive questioning of the accused and collecting technical evidence, an official said on Saturday.

Giving details of the case, Police Commissioner Vivek Singh said, “On April 24, a nine-year-old girl was raped and strangled to death within the premises of Jawa police station. The police have registered the case and initiated an investigation.”

He added: “The girl’s body was recovered from the courtyard of her house where she was sleeping at the time of the incident.”

During intensive questioning of the family members, it was found that the girl’s 13-year-old brother had slept next to her that night. It was later revealed that the teenager had raped his sister after watching obscene videos on his mobile phone, police said. However, when the girl threatened to tell her father about the incident, he strangled her. Later, he woke up his mother and confided everything to her.

Meanwhile, his two elder sisters also woke up and together changed the location of their bed to mislead the police investigation. Despite their initial attempts to cover up the crime, they finally admitted it after repeated interrogations, he said. The boy, his two sisters and their mother have been arrested and further legal action will be taken, the official added.

“Police received information on the morning of April 24 that the girl’s body was lying in the courtyard of the house. Evidence of rape and murder was found in the post-mortem report and an SIT team was formed for investigation,” Singh said.

Family members initially misled investigators by claiming the girl had died from a poisonous insect bite, police said. However, the investigation found no evidence of an intruder and the family denied hearing any unusual noises during the night.

“After collecting technical evidence and questioning 50 people, the police found that the statements of the family members had been altered several times. Based on suspicion, they were interrogated intensively, after which they confessed to the crime,” Singh said.
