The popular South Korean actor, known for his performance in “Burning” and the series “Hellbound,” has been accused of sexually harassing a 30-year-old man, although the actor’s lawyer denies the allegations.

According to the Korea Times, a complaint against Yoo was received at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul on Thursday.

Bang Jung-hyun, Yoo’s legal representative, said, “We clarify that the allegations in the complaint are not true.” He urged the public to “refrain from unnecessary speculation about Yoo’s private life.” According to the accuser, a man named Mr. A, he was sexually assaulted by Yoo Ah-In on July 14 while he was sleeping in an Officetel building in Yongsan, Seoul.

Officetels are popular buildings in Korea because they offer their residents the opportunity to work and live in the same premises, reducing commuting time.

According to the Yongsan Police Station, on July 26, they confirmed receipt of a complaint against Yoo Ah-In for allegedly sexually abusing a man in his 30s and filed charges against him.

“We have not yet contacted the defendant (Yoo Ah-In) separately” and “We plan to summon the defendant for questioning soon,” police said.
