A man is killed in a shooting in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. – A man is dead after a shooting in Suffolk Thursday night, police said.

Suffolk police said they received a call shortly before 6:40 p.m. reporting shots fired in the 1300 block of Blythewood Lane. When officers arrived, they found 26-year-old Darrell Lamont Knight Jr. of Suffolk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Knight Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not provide any information about suspects or circumstances and said the investigation was ongoing.
