Borderland Crimes Podcast 23: Justice Delayed – El Paso Girl Waits 8 Years for Conviction from Accused Rapist

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – An El Paso girl is trying to come to terms with the sexual abuse she suffered at age five. The girl is now 17 and caught in the millstone of the justice system. Edward Alvarado faces multiple charges of repeated sexual abuse of a child and has been in jail since 2016 while awaiting trial. ABC-7’s Stephanie Valle investigates what’s causing the delay.
