Dead woman found in Lower Valley of El Paso, death considered suspicious

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – El Paso Police found the body of a woman in her 30s in the 200 block of Lafayette in the Lower Valley today.

ABC-7 was on scene and saw the body in a backyard, covered with a white sheet.

Police were first called at 9:56 a.m. after a person was found lying in the open area.

“Investigators from the Crimes Against Persons Unit and investigators from the Criminalistics Unit assisted in the investigation,” a police spokesman said. “At that point, the crime scene had already been cleared.”

Police believe the person’s death is “suspicious in nature,” but the cause of death is still unknown.

Police say they have no further information. ABC-7 is working to find out more.
