Death investigations underway following fire in Lexington

COLUMBIA, SC (WAKE) — The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department (LCSD) is conducting a death investigation following a fire at a home in the 200 block of Oak Ridge Lane.

The Lexington County Fire Department responded to the fire that night and found a body in the house.

Firefighters found a man with multiple injuries in a shed on the property. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is expected to recover soon.
