UPDATE: Police say the incident on Eastwest Road ended around 1 a.m. There is believed to be no danger to the public.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Streator Police Department and the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office near the intersection of Eastwest Road and Harrison Street. This is the far south end of Streator. This action is related to a shooting investigation that previously occurred in the city. You are asked to avoid the area.
