Teacher charged with sending sexually explicit photos to student | Latest from WDEL News

A teacher is accused of sending sexually explicit photos to a 14-year-old student.

New Castle County police said Friday that an investigation revealed that 24-year-old Alanis Pinion frequently communicated with her students at St. Mary Magdalen School via Snapchat, and one student received sexually explicit photos.

County police also said the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington was cooperating with the investigation.

Pinion was taken into custody Thursday and remanded to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $46,000 cash bail following arraignment.

Pinion was apparently a contractor at St. Mary Magdalen and, according to NBC10, she is no longer associated with the school. However, county police fear there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.

Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact investigators at 302-395-8030.
