Court documents show Trahan has been involved in 767 arrests for driving under the influence since the APD officer became an officer. His first arrest for driving under the influence came in August 2006. HIS LAST DATE WAS IN SEPTEMBER 2021, WHEN A 27TH INVESTIGATION LEARNED THAT THE FBI was investigating claims officers who took money from a DWI lawyer in exchange for not showing up for court proceedings. MORE THAN 200 DWI CASES RELATED TO THE INVESTIGATION SO FAR DISMISSED. The Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office tells us in a statement, quote, that to date, the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office has been forced to dismiss 211 cases due to the credibility of the current and former officials involved in those cases.
