Aer Lingus pilots suspend duty to rule after new salary offer

The Irish Air Line Pilots’ Association (IALPA) has suspended duty-to-rule for Aer Lingus pilots after the airline negotiated a new collective agreement.

IALPA recommends that pilots accept the offered salary increase of 17.75% over a period of four years, as proposed by the Labor Court on Wednesday.

However, the offer came after Aer Lingus had already announced 25 further flight cancellations for next Monday and Tuesday due to the pilots’ industrial action that began on 26 June.

IALPA said it would now hold “a series of discussions with its members” before voting on the terms of the Labor Court’s recommendation “in the coming weeks.”
