TODAY/TONIGHT – A FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY:

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and evening. Some thunderstorms from now until 9 p.m. could become strong to severe. Brief, damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes could occur, so keep an eye on the weather.

After 9pm the chance of heavy rain will be over. However, a few weakening showers will remain.

Maximum temperatures today will be between 35 and 35 degrees. It is very humid, so the heat index will be between 35 and 38 degrees.

By morning the temperatures will drop to just over 20 degrees.

MORNING:

Tomorrow the region will be drier and a little cooler. Highs will be above 25 degrees. Humidity will also drop slightly. In Nashville, the chance of rain is only 20% early in the morning, so most areas will be dry on Wednesday.

THURSDAY & AFTER:

Another heat wave will arrive starting Thursday. The heat will continue to increase through the weekend with moderate to high humidity.

There’s a realistic chance that Monday will be the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures expected to reach triple digits in Nashville.
