YouTuber Pretty Pastel Please dies at the age of 30

Australian YouTuber Pretty Pastel Please, whose real name was Alexandra, has died at the age of 30, according to a statement on her official Instagram account.

Friday’s post said the internet personality died in June and her death was “sudden, unexpected and devastating to everyone who knew her.”

A cause of death was not disclosed.

“This is a shock to us all and her family and friends have asked for privacy while they deal with their grief,” the statement continued. “We ask that you respect their wishes – they appreciate your support but need time to heal privately. A memorial page will be posted on YouTube and here on Instagram in due course.”

The YouTube account “Pretty Pastel Please” has over 690,000 subscribers who followed Alex on her trip through Japan and tried out various fashion and beauty products.

She launched her channel in December 2017 and recently expanded her online presence by joining Twitch, where she shared her last live stream on June 25, TMZ reported.

She also shared some candid clips about her personal life, including one from July 2023 in which she discussed her divorce from her husband Dan.

After the news of her death broke, her fans flooded the comments section of her Instagram account with heartfelt memorial messages.

“It’s weird to think how much she impacted my life even though we never met in person,” wrote one fan. “I will continue to watch her videos and think of her. RIP Alex.”

“I will remember her for her openness and vulnerability about her struggles, her love of animals and her generous heart,” wrote another. “She was truly special and I wish her friends and family the best as they grieve this tremendous loss.”
