The young has never been a show that has avoided controversy due to its outrageous content and outspoken politics, but the new episode of season 4 has apparently heated up some tempers. The episode, titled “Dirty Business,” had many boundary-pushing scenes that left many unsettled, and the sequence that upset many was the Bat-Cave, sorry, we meant the Tek-Cave scene. ‘The Boys’ Season 4, Episode 6: From Homelander’s ‘milk’ fetish to that ‘Fight Club’ twist, 7 WTF moments from the new episode that left us gagged, shocked and stunned!

To give you some context, the guys must infiltrate an exclusive party thrown by Robert Vernon, aka Tek Knight (Derek Wilson), for some ultra-rich alt-righters and supes, and find out what they’re up to. Hughie (Jack Quaid), mourning the death of his father, decides to go undercover and disguises himself as Spider-Man, sorry, we mean Webweaver (Dan Mousseau), who somehow got an invite. He didn’t know that Webweaver got the invite because Tek-Knight wanted him to be a participant in his BDSM session along with Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie) in his secret Tek-Cave.

Hughie refuses to drop his disguise and reluctantly takes part in some of what he considers humiliating moments, such as sitting stark naked on a chocolate cake and farting on it, then being tied to a saddle buck and having Ashley tickle his feet for sexual gratification while saying the most disgusting thing, and then doing something even more disgusting with his mask on. And let’s just say it’s all played for comedy.

Why fans were mad at The Boys, Season 4, Episode 6

This is what upsets fans of the show; they believe that Hughie was sexually abused in the scene, and The young went too far by directing it as a comedy. It doesn’t help that at the end of the episode, Hughie breaks down and cries in the arms of his girlfriend Starlight (Erin Moriarty), reeling from the whole experience and then mourning the loss of his father. Season 4 of ‘The Boys’ censored by Prime Video India? Asshole and orgy scenes either blurred or edited with CGI for Indian viewers.

Some have even picked up The young Interview with showrunner Erick Kripke diversity where he was asked if they got far with the Tek Cave scene with Hughie when he was just depressed. To which he replied: “There’s a great storyline in the comics where Hughie goes undercover disguised as a superhero. That was a storyline that Jack had always asked us to do. So part of it is always being careful what you ask the writers to do. Then we finally had this Webweaver character and the idea of Spider-Man going down to get kinky tickled in the Batcave is just too good to pass up. I’m sorry, I just couldn’t leave that on the table. (sic)”

Check out some other reactions that harshly criticize the episode:

“Who wrote these episodes?”

“What the hell is going on in here?”

‘Pretty gross’

The Tek Cave scene wasn’t the most outrageous scene of the episode. Later, Firecracker (Valorie Curry) squirts milk in Homelander’s (Antony Starr) face, and more importantly, he likes what happens. Homelander then suckles on her breasts like a baby while she coddles him. With two episodes left, we can’t even imagine what other excessive scenes await us in season six.
