BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man accused of shooting three people on Elmwood Avenue in early June was recently taken into custody in Maryland and arraigned Wednesday, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said.

Dominique Singletary, 29, is accused of shooting three men in their 20s with an illegal gun during an altercation around 2:30 a.m. June 1 in the 1100 block of Elmwood, authorities said. All three victims were taken to ECMC, one with serious physical injuries and the others with non-life-threatening injuries.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force recently located Singletary in Maryland and he was eventually arrested on a warrant, authorities said. He was returned to western New York on Tuesday after waiving extradition proceedings.

Singletary was charged with:

  • Three counts of attempted second-degree murder
  • Two counts of second-degree assault
  • One count of first-degree assault
  • One count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon

Singletary was ordered held without bail and no court date has yet been set. He faces up to 75 years in prison. In addition, temporary protective orders have been issued on behalf of the victims.
