Parents take child’s life and throw him into a canal in India: reports

Several media outlets reported that a six-year-old child with disabilities was killed in India over the weekend after the child’s mother threw him into a “crocodile-infested canal.”

Savitri, the child’s mother, threw her son into the water after an argument with her husband on Saturday evening in Dandeli, a rural village in Karnataka, CBS News reported.

Savitri and her husband Ravi Kumar Shelle argued over their child, who is deaf and speechless, The New Indian Express reported.

Savitri said they argued a lot about the boy and shifted the blame for the murder to her husband, who she said wanted him dead, Outlook reported.
