Officer-involved shooting in Manchester, NH, under investigation – NBC Boston

A man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was shot by police in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Friday morning.

Manchester Police posted on social media shortly after 10am that they were involved in investigations in the area of ​​Beech Street and Bridge Street. In a later update they said they were investigating a shooting.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office announced in a press release just before 11 a.m. that they responded to a report of a police shooting that occurred in Manchester Friday morning. They said an adult male was shot and taken to an area hospital with injuries that police described as life-threatening.

According to police, several roads in the area are closed and motorists should seek alternative routes.

The Attorney General’s Office said there was no known danger to the public and that the shooting was still being investigated.
