KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has decided to suspend Leon Bailey’s nomination for the senior men’s national team.

In a press release on Wednesday, the JFF announced that the decision was made following recent incidents, including the Aston Villa winger’s decision not to participate in the team for the 2024 Copa America following his nomination.

The JFF added that it also considered Bailey’s previous announcement that he wanted to take a break from his national duties as a reason for suspending his nomination, stating that this would avoid further misunderstanding.
