ZIFA suspends Magaya’s Heart Stadium |

By Sports Reporter

The lack of adequate washing facilities has forced ZIFA’s First Instance Board to temporarily ban Walter Magaya’s Heart Stadium from hosting top division matches.

Heart Stadium has not had public toilets since its homologation in March.

The stadium relied on renting portable toilets, which were overwhelmed on match days.

Heart’s temporary suspension has forced home side Yadah to use the Rufaro Stadium as their new home ground.

The Miracle Boys will host CAPS United at Rufaro Stadium on Saturday. This makes the celebratory home of football the only venue that serves as the home ground for all four Harare-based top league teams.

The stadium crisis is one of the country’s biggest problems. Currently, Zimbabwe does not have a CAF-approved facility that can be used for international football matches.
