Shooting in Las Vegas: 5 dead, 13-year-old in hospital

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Five people are dead and a 13-year-old girl is in the hospital after an overnight shooting at a north Las Vegas apartment complex.

The suspect, who was classified as “extremely dangerous,” has been found and no longer poses a threat to the community, police said in a press release shortly before 11 a.m.

According to police, 57-year-old Eric Adams is believed to be armed and “extremely dangerous.” Anyone who sees him should call 911 immediately and not approach Adams.

North Las Vegas police officers responded to a report of a shooting at the complex just after 10 p.m. in the 300 block of Casa Norte Drive near Craig Ranch Park and Commerce Street. Officers discovered two women, one in her 40s and one in her 50s, dead from apparent gunshot wounds in the second-floor apartment. A third victim of the shooting, a 13-year-old girl, was also found in the apartment and taken to the hospital. Police said she was in critical condition.

During the investigation, police discovered three more gunshot victims in the apartment directly below the one where the three women were found. Police said two women in their mid-20s and a man in his early 20s died of apparent gunshot wounds.
