The YouTuber, whose career began on TikTok, had once climbed onto the terrace of a 10-storey hotel in Delhi and threatened to jump down after an alleged argument with his wife Payal Malik. It took 17 hours for the police to persuade him to climb down. Armaan Malik, whose real name is Sandeep, had about 5 million followers at the time on TikTok, a video feed-based platform that is now banned in India following a military clash along the India-China border.

In some videos uploaded on the platform, he claimed that his first wife Payal and his in-laws accused him of raping the housemaid and also filed rape charges against him. In one of the videos uploaded on his TikTok profile, he threatened to commit suicide and added: “My wife Payal and her family members jointly framed me for a rape case.” In another video he talks about his maid and someone named Neeraj. IIn the third video, Sandeep posted a suicide threatening letter on his TikTok account, blaming Payal and her sisters for his decision.

“Sandeep was finally rescued on Monday at around 8.45 am,” an official said. According to a senior police officer, Armaan had checked into the hotel with his wife Kritika Basera at 1.30 pm on Sunday. “She is his second wife and their wedding took place a year ago in the same hotel. The couple had come to Delhi from Ahmedabad.”

According to a report by NDTV, he was arrested after his rescue following a sexual abuse complaint filed against him by a minor.

Armaan Malik is a well-known YouTuber who is known for his YouTube channels Malik Vlogs, Family Fitness and Malik Kids among others where he has a whopping 7.68 million, 14.9 million and 1.27 million subscribers respectively. His unconventional marital situation has made him popular among people. He is married to two women, Payal and Kritika Malik with whom he has four children.

He married Payal in 2011, with whom he has a child named Chirayu. In 2018, he married Payal’s best friend Kritika, which led to his separation from his first wife. However, Payal eventually reconciled with Armaan and the three live together as a happy family. In 2002, both women were pregnant at the same time. While Payal gave birth to twins Tuba and Ayan, Kritika is the mother of his son Zaid.
