Rape: Man charged with raping underage cousin | Bhopal News

Bhopal: Ratibad police on Tuesday booked a man under IPC and Pocso Act for raping her 13-year-old cousin. Police said the survivor, a Class 8 student, told police that her paternal uncle lived in Vidisha and his son was aged around 19 years old, who often comes to Bhopal to visit her. When the survivor’s cousin came to her home in February, he raped her while the family members were sleeping. He threatened her not to tell anyone about the incident. A few days ago, the survivor complained of abdominal pain and dizziness. Her parents took her to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with pregnancy. When the family members counseled her, the survivor narrated her ordeal and the matter was reported to the Ratibad police. The police have registered a case against the accused. tnn
