Three men were arrested by shooting in October

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder, several months after they allegedly shot and killed a man in San Jose, authorities said.

Suspects Saran Moeun, Chhorn Than and Vu Hung Le were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of murder, according to a statement from San Jose police on Wednesday.

On October 25 at 9:13 p.m., police responded to the 1600 block of Tully Road after reports of a shooting. Officers determined that a male victim had at least one gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

The suspects fled before officers arrived and were identified during the investigation. Police did not say how they identified the trio as suspects in the Killong.

Police — including members of the department’s Covert Response Unit and MERGE Unit — arrested Moeun in Oakland and Than in Livermore on March 26. When authorities searched their homes, they found firearms and ammunition. On May 3, authorities arrested Le in San Jose.

Officials are still investigating the motive and circumstances of the crime, which was the city’s 29th homicide of 2023. The victim’s identity was not known Wednesday morning.
