Child killed, 2 adults seriously injured in drunk driving accident in Auburndale

AUBURNDALE, Fla. (WFLA) – Shortly after midnight, a child was killed and two adults were injured in an accident in Auburndale.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at 2101 42nd Street Northwest. Three vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash, but officials said they are still determining how many cars were involved.

One child was killed and two adults were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken to a hospital and later released. The two were arrested for drunken driving, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said.
