Olean Police

  • Saturday, 11:02 a.m, NO. Injuries were reported following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Washington Street and North 13th Street. A vehicle driven by John M. Romero, 36, of Hillside, New Jersey, allegedly collided with a vehicle driven by Hannah M. Forrest, 28, of 3 Satellite Circle.
  • Monday, 12:32 p.mNo injuries were reported following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of North Union and East State streets. A vehicle driven by Elaine Brundage, 88, of Wellsville, entered the roundabout and reportedly struck a vehicle driven by Martha J. Robson, 57, of Eldred, Pennsylvania. Brundage was subsequently charged with failure to yield the right of way violation.
  • Tuesday, 3:19 p.mJustin L. Torres, 22, of 112 S. Second St., was arrested on a warrant issued by Olean City Court on charges of abandonment of a disabled animal, an unclassified misdemeanor, and torture/injury/failure to feed one Tiers, a Class A misdemeanor. Torres was released with an appearance ticket.

Salamanca Police

  • Monday, 4:07 p.mAnthony J. Piscitelli, 32, of Salamanca, was arrested on four warrants from the Salamanca Municipal Court. Piscitelli was held pending arraignment.

Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office

  • LITTLE VALLEY — John D. Newark, 40, of Little Valley, was charged Thursday at 5:19 p.m. with aggravated domestic battery and first-degree criminal contempt, Class E felonies; and petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor. The charge stems from a reported domestic dispute. Newark’s status was not reported.
  • ASHFORD – Michael P. Hecht, 42, of East Concord, was arrested at 1:38 a.m. Friday on an Erie County Court warrant. Hecht was turned over to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.
  • RANDOLPH — Melissa M. Olson, 45, of Randolph, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, a misdemeanor, at 10:31 p.m. Sunday. The charges stem from a reported domestic incident. Olson was released with an appearance ticket.

New York State Police

  • FRIENDSHIP – A single-vehicle crash was reported at 6:25 a.m. Monday on Back River Road near Route 31. The driver was identified as Ashton A. McCumiskey, 31, of Belmont. One injury was reported.
  • ALFRED – At 12:14 p.m. May 1, a single-vehicle crash was reported at the intersection of Route 10 and Duke Road. The driver was identified as Sergio Y. Feliz, 38, of Almond. One injury was reported.
  • ASHFORD — James K. Denaro, 62, of Ashford, was charged at 8:10 a.m. Monday with second-degree assault, a Class D felony; Second-degree menacing, criminal obstruction of breathing, fourth-degree criminal assault and fourth-degree criminal possession, Class A misdemeanors. Denaro’s status was not reported.
