First-class traveler had an embarrassing accident in front of horrified passengers

A Delta Airlines passenger described in a post shared on the airline’s subreddit how his first-class flight experience was ruined by another traveler who had “a poop accident” mid-flight.

Reddit user @manateefourmation said they were on a flight last Thursday (May 30) when the incident occurred, and a foul odor was felt throughout the cabin, which flight attendants were asked to remove at the behest of other passengers.

“I was on a flight on Thursday where a passenger had a poop accident in the cabin that caused an incredibly foul smell throughout the cabin,” the Redditor wrote. “The passengers wanted the flight attendant to clean it up. I went up to her and told her that it wasn’t her job and she was doing a great job under the circumstances.”

The passenger also showed a handwritten note from the flight attendant apologizing that their “first class flight was not as enjoyable as it always should be” and saying that they had given the passenger some Delta miles.

Last month, another Redditor claimed his United Airlines flight to Seattle was diverted to Dallas after a dog allegedly “had a nasty accident in the middle of the first class aisle.”

“Plane diverted to DFW,” wrote Reddit user @gig_wizard. “Ground crew spent over two hours cleaning carpets with paper towels. The smell made me sick. Gate agents were constantly yelling at passengers and cabin crew. The smell never completely went away. First class bathroom was declared unusable because the dog mess there apparently wasn’t cleaned up. Food went bad on the ground so there were very few snacks left.”

In September, a Delta Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing because a passenger’s diarrhea had led to a “biohazard problem.”
