Hit and run in Museum District: 1 pedestrian killed, 2 injured when driver crashes into crowd on Fannin Street, Houston police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect after a car drove into a crowd in Houston’s Museum District on Sunday. One man was killed and two other pedestrians were seriously injured.

Houston police said the fatal accident occurred around 9:10 p.m. on Fannin Street.

According to investigators, a four-door sedan collided with a silver BMW 650i at the intersection of Fannin and Blodgett Street.

According to police, the sedan drove away from the scene of the accident onto the sidewalk and hit three pedestrians.

A 55-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, two other victims were taken to hospital in serious condition.

HPD Lt. Y. Ramirez said the deceased man may have been homeless and known in the community, but his identity is pending confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
