First Alert Weather: Some would say almost perfect weather

ROCHESTER, NY — As a high pressure system builds over the Great Lakes, we can look forward to an extended dry spell.

The next 48 hours will bring pleasant temperatures, lower humidity, a light breeze and clear skies. All the right ingredients for beautiful conditions. As this high pressure system slowly moves east, winds in western New York will shift to a more southwesterly direction, bringing more summery conditions through the weekend.

Clear skies are expected at times Wednesday evening. It will be very cool overnight as temperatures drop to below 10 degrees in the lakeshore communities, but away from the lake, particularly in the deeper valleys south of Rochester, temperatures will drop to below 7 to 9 degrees.

On Thursday you can expect more sunshine and after a cool start the mercury will rise to around 18 degrees. On Friday it looks like another fine day with more sun and highs around 21 degrees.

The first day of June is Saturday and it is set to be a lovely day. Expect hazy sunshine and a little warmer temperatures, with temperatures rising to over 25 degrees.

At the end of the weekend, temporary rain showers and higher humidity are expected, with temperatures around 27 °C.
