Buffalo Police Make Arrest In Connection To Rape And Sexual Abuse Of Child

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Police Department announced Sunday that an arrest has been made in connection with the rape and sexual abuse of a child.

Police said a 911 call alerted officers to several instances of sexual abuse of a child by someone known to the victim on Bloomfield Avenue and that a suspect was apprehended.

According to police, Antonio Vives, 19, of Buffalo, was charged with:

  • One count of first degree rape
  • One count of first-degree sexual conduct against a child
  • One count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct
  • One count of first-degree sexual abuse

Police said detectives from the Special Victims Unit would continue their investigation.
