Bedford Heights driver arrested with meth: North Royalton police report

NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio

Meth arrest, Royalton Road: On May 2, police observed a black Chevy Blazer without rear license plate lights on Royalton Road.

The officer also said that a broken taillight was covered with red tape, but it was not enough to cover the white light.

The driver from Bedford Heights did not have a driver’s license. It turned out that his license had been revoked.

While searching the Chevy, police found a bag of meth in the man’s pocket.

He was arrested for drug abuse, driving while suspended, not wearing a seatbelt and having drug paraphernalia.

Drunk driving, Walnut Hill Drive: On May 2, police were called to Walnut Hill Drive for a drunk driver.

The caller said the man was not allowed to drive, but drove away in a yellow vehicle anyway.

An arriving officer found the man sitting in his vehicle near a dumpster at an apartment complex.

The vehicle was in park, but the engine was running. The man slurred that he was “just taking out the trash.”

He also smelled of alcohol. When asked if he had been drinking anything, the man replied: “Just a little earlier this morning.”

After failing a breathalyzer test in which he lost his balance, stumbled and nearly fell, the man was arrested for drunk driving.

He was also accused of having his driving license revoked.

Since the owner of the vehicle was the man’s mother, she was reported for illegal transfer.
