Security guard in Cannes gets into THIRD brawl after incident with Kelly Rowland

Days after an altercation with former Destiny’s Child actress Kelly Rowland on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, a security guard was mocked online for her treatment of a K-pop star – her third unpleasant altercation with a celebrity.

Rowland gained notoriety for pointing the finger at the security guard during their encounter last week, later explaining that she felt mistreated and chased off the red carpet because of her race.

“The woman knows what happened. I know what happened,” Rowland said. “I have boundaries and I stand by those boundaries. And that’s all.”

“There were other women standing on the carpet who didn’t look quite like me, and they weren’t insulted or pushed down or told to get off,” she added. “And I stood firm, and she felt like she had to make her point. But I stood firm, and that was that.”

Shortly afterwards, the same security guard, whose name was not mentioned, visibly irritated Dominican actress Massiel Taveras by apparently trying to push her forward across the carpet. Taveras responded by pushing the security guard away.

Then over the weekend, the security guard raised his arm and blocked K-pop singer and actress Yoona as she turned to greet her fans. The incident was a little less dramatic because Yoona did not visibly react, but it still drew negative attention due to the security guard’s rough approach and because all three celebrities she scuffled with were women of color.
