Newhall man arrested after sexually assaulting victim

A Newhall man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly sexually assaulted a person.

About 2:10 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a sexual harassment call in the 23000 block of Pine Street in Newhall, said Deputy Kabrina Borbon, police spokeswoman Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The suspect sexually assaulted the victim,” Borbon said.

Brandon Ballinger, 42, of Newhall was arrested and booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Jail, Borbon said.

Ballinger remained in custody as of Tuesday morning, Borbon said.
