An investigation into police abuse of power has been launched in Georgia

The Special Investigation Service of Georgia has opened an investigation into the case of abuse of power by the police in connection with participants in the protest against the law on foreign agents in Tbilisi, Georgian media reports.

“The Special Investigation Service has opened an investigation into the facts of abuse of power by police officers against participants in the protests on May 13, 2024, in accordance with Article 333(B) of Part Three,” the statement said.
