Two drivers were injured in a crash at Bourne Bridge early Saturday morning

A Raynham man was arrested early Saturday after a crash on the Bourne Bridge that left him and the other driver injured, state police said.

According to the State Police Media Division, at approximately 2:20 a.m. a trooper from the Bourne Barracks drove a disabled vehicle in the southbound lane of the bridge. A second vehicle crossed the double yellow line and struck the disabled car, pushing it toward the state police cruiser. Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.

The driver of the car that allegedly crossed the double line was identified as James Lewis, 21, of Raynham, state police said. He was arrested and taken to the barracks for recruitment. He is charged with driving under the influence, negligent driving and a marked lane violation.
