Fatal motorcycle accident on Highway 33

(City of Beaver Dam) The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a motorcycle accident that left a passenger dead and the driver critically injured.

On Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., passersby reported a motorcycle accident with serious injuries on State Street
Highway 33 near Thompson Rd, in Beaver Dam Township.

A group of motorcycles were traveling eastbound on State Highway 33 and began to slow in traffic, possibly due to a
Car slows down to turn into a driveway. The motorcycle involved lost control and both occupants
were thrown from the motorcycle. The operator, a 42-year-old Beaver Dam man, was searched by UW Med
Flight to a level 2 trauma center with life-threatening injuries. A 50-year-old female passenger, also out
Beaver Dam died at the landing zone that had been established near Dodge County
Exhibition grounds.

None of the occupants were wearing helmets, which was a determining factor in the severity of the injuries. The crash
continues to be investigated. Beaver Dam Fire assisted in the response and investigation
Department and Paramedics, Dodge County Medical Examiner, Dodge County Emergency Response Team
(DCERT), UW Med Flight, Flight For Life, Beaver Dam Police Department and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office
