Police arrest Ogun motorcyclist for raping female passenger

A motorcyclist, Afeez Mustapha, has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a female passenger in Ogun State.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest in a statement published on X on Friday.

Odutola noticed that Mustapha was taking the passenger to a destination when he suddenly changed direction and took a different route than that of the passenger.

Arriving at a deserted location, he took advantage of the only victim and reportedly committed the crime.

Odutola said Mustapha had been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

The post said: “Commercial motorcyclist arrested for rape on May 9, 2024. One Afeez Mustapha is in SCID for sexually assaulting a female passenger after he was diverted to a different route from that of the passenger.”
