Chillicothe Police responded to 88 emergency calls on Thursday, July 25, 2024. Below is a detailed report of all reported activity:

At 00:19Officers responded to a report of loud music in the 400 block of Jackson Street.

At 3:40 amOfficers responded to a commercial alarm in the 500 block of West Business 36 Highway.

At 5:00 amOfficers responded to an alarm at a commercial building in the 700 block of Elm Street. Officers determined that an employee had set off the alarm.

At 5:30 in the morningOfficers responded to an alarm at a commercial building in the 200 block of West Business 36 Highway. It was determined that an employee had set off the alarm. Officers arrived and notified the Chillicothe Fire Department.

At 7:00 amAn officer working overtime on traffic observed a 39-year-old man with multiple warrants in the 1300 block of Third Street. The suspect attempted to elude the officer by re-entering the home. The officer made contact with the homeowner, located the suspect, and arrested him on Livingston County warrants for possession of a controlled substance and driving while suspended. The suspect was processed and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

At 7:30 a.m.an animal control officer responded to a complaint about stray cats in the 400 block of Williams Street. A person was feeding the stray cats, which attracted them to the area. The person was advised to stop feeding the cats as it was making the problem worse. The department is working on the stray cat problem in the area.

At 9:20 amOfficers filed a missing person report. The person was later found by a family member.

At 11:30 ama traffic officer conducted a vehicle stop in the 2900 block of North Washington Street. A 27-year-old man was arrested for driving while license suspended. His case was processed and he was released pending his court date.

At 1:00 pmAuthorities transferred a woman from the hospital to another facility for psychiatric treatment in accordance with Missouri law.

At 18:00 hrsOfficers conducted a wellness check on a juvenile in the 100 block of Calhoun. Everything turned out to be fine.

At 19.00Officers were called to the 200 block of Locust Street for a disturbance. Those involved were contacted and one person was removed.

At 20:15Officers responded to the incident in the 300 block of JFK Avenue when a man was carelessly riding a minibike. Officers found the juvenile and released him to his parents after informing them of the incident.

At 10:45 p.m.Officers conducted a traffic stop for speeding in the 700 block of Washington Street. A 19-year-old man was arrested for operating a vehicle without a valid license and speeding. His case was processed and he was released pending his court date.

At 11:50 p.m.An officer conducted a vehicle check in Simpson Park after hours. It turned out that the vehicle was unoccupied.
