Oklahoma City police investigate homicide after deadly altercation

POLICE SAY 31-YEAR-OLD LUIS LEVARIO WAS KILLED AFTER WALKING INTO A BATTLE ON MONDAY MORNING. NOW AUTHORITIES ARE LOOKING FOR HIS ATTACKER. Oklahoma City police were called to Southwest 28th and Kentucky Avenue shortly before 8 a.m. Monday for a robbery. When authorities arrived, they found the victim in a shed with serious injuries. We know he was involved in an altercation at some point that killed him, but again, we have very little information to go on. Authorities say the victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Oklahoma City police say if you know anything, please call homicide detectives.

Oklahoma City police identified the victim as Luis Levario, 31. A murder investigation is underway following an altercation that ended fatally in southwest Oklahoma City on Monday morning.

At around 7:55 a.m. Monday, officers responded to a reported robbery at a home on Southwest 28th Street near Indiana Avenue. Police said officers found a critically injured victim in a shed behind the home.

The victim was taken to OU Health, where he died, according to police. Oklahoma City police identified the victim as Luis Levario, 31.

According to police, investigators learned that the victim was involved in an altercation that resulted in his injuries.

“It’s unclear exactly how and why this happened and who was involved,” MSgt. Gary Knight said Tuesday. “We know that at some point he was involved in an altercation in which he was killed, but again, we have very little information to rely on.”

Police said Tuesday that no arrests have been made so far. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Oklahoma City Police Department’s homicide tip line at 405-297-1200.

“We certainly need the public’s help here,” Knight said.
