People from these metros are looking to buy a home in Houston

Home prices are largely starting to normalize across the country, but remain high even as more homes hit the market this spring.

Record-high mortgage rates are making homes largely unaffordable for most buyers. Even an increase of one percentage point can increase a monthly mortgage payment by more than $100.

This incentivizes potential homeowners to expand their searches outside of expensive urban centers, especially when they can work from home.
