Mother and newborn baby attacked by man in Brentwood

LOS ANGELESA young mother tells her story after she was brutally attacked while walking with her newborn child in Brentwood.

The attack occurred Tuesday afternoon just blocks from her home near Montana Avenue and South Gretna Green Way.

Carmina Lu was walking with her one-month-old baby in a stroller when a man grabbed her from behind.

“He grabbed my hips and started thrusting into me. He thrust his hips into my hips from behind and grabbed my hips very aggressively. And he didn’t stop,” Lu told FOX 11.

While defending herself against her attacker, she suffered minor injuries to her face.

“That’s when he started punching me in the face. With his fist. I think with his right hand. He hit me maybe three or four times. It was really scary. Obviously he had wounds on his face and head,” she explained.

Fortunately, the toddler was not injured in the attack.

Carmina eventually managed to free herself and the neighbors came to help her, alerting her husband who was working in the house.

“I wanted to make sure she was OK and that the baby was OK. But after getting a description from the neighbors, I took off and searched the streets to find him. She held up very well. You know, she’s not a victim. I’m glad she fought back,” her husband said.

The suspect, whom she described as 5’10” tall, of slim build and with dark hair, remains missing.
