Accident on Highway 42 on Old Toney Road in Clayton County

CLAYTON COUNTY, Georgia – According to Clayton County Police, Highway 42 is currently closed after debris from a damaged railroad bridge caused a serious accident Wednesday.

The department posted the incident on Facebook to alert the public. It occurred on Highway 42 at Old Toney Road and past Anvil Block Road.

Police added that the bridge was “significantly damaged” as concrete debris fell onto the highway. It is unclear how the bridge was damaged.
