Charles Housewright II died in an off-road rollover accident near Cottonwood Springs Road and 10 Freeway

CACTUS CITY, CA (July 15, 2024) Charles Hausmacher II died in an off-road accident that caused the road to roll over and follow Freeway 10.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal off-road accident occurred around 3 p.m. on Friday. Authorities are currently investigating why Charles Housewright II lost control of his red Can-Am Outlander 570 quad while traveling south on a dirt road. When the 64-year-old lost control, he remained seated on his vehicle as it rolled over.

Shortly thereafter, officers and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Flight Unit arrived and found him with fatal injuries.

At this time, authorities do not believe that impairment played a role in the cause of the accident. However, they are looking for clues that could explain this accident.
