Woman dead, man in custody after stabbing in Naperville

Naperville police are investigating the fatal stabbing attack of a woman Saturday morning at a home in the city’s southwest side.

A man was arrested in connection with the death, but no charges had been filed as of Sunday. The names of all those involved will not be released pending further investigation, police said.

Authorities said Naperville police were called to the home in the 2500 block of Saddlebrook Drive around 9:37 a.m. Saturday after reports of a person not breathing.

When they arrived, they found several people inside the home, including a woman with multiple apparent stab wounds, police said. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Officers and investigators conducted a preliminary investigation and arrested an adult male, police said.
