Livermore man banned from owning a gun arrested on numerous gun charges

(KRON) – A 31-year-old man who has a gun restraining order against him was arrested last week on several charges related to illegal gun possession, Livermore police announced Tuesday.

On June 25, just after 5 p.m., Livermore police officers stopped a Kia Sportage on Las Positas Road near First Street for a traffic violation. The driver, later identified as Bradley Grassechi, 31, had been suspended for lack of insurance, LPD said.

Police learned that Grassechi had a gun restraining order prohibiting him from possessing firearms and other weapons. A search of the Kia turned up an unregistered loaded handgun, Livermore police said.

A search warrant was obtained for his apartment, where officers found an unidentified short-barreled rifle and ammunition, police said.
