Australian minor sexually abused and blackmailed by Indore man, CBI files FIR

Indore: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against Ankur Shukla, a resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, for allegedly being involved in online sexual harassment of a minor girl from Australia. The case came to light after the CBI received crucial information on the matter from Interpol.

According to officials, Ankur Shukla befriended the minor girl on Instagram and gradually forced her to send objectionable pictures and videos. When the girl hesitated, he threatened to share these pictures and videos with her family and friends and forced her to continue sending them.

When the victim eventually blocked him on Instagram, Shukla continued to harass her by contacting her on WhatsApp. This persistent intimidation prompted the authorities to take further action.

The CBI reacted promptly and located Shukla’s whereabouts to collect concrete evidence. Several raids were conducted at his residence in Madhya Pradesh during which several incriminating materials were recovered, including computer hard drives and mobile phones.

A senior CBI official confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that the accused will be arrested soon. The case highlights the importance of international cooperation in combating cybercrime and protecting vulnerable people from online predators.
